Amazing Life Church
“The Unbroken Path”
I continue to pray for you guys everyday. God is our strength and our purpose. To reveal Him in our world as
individuals and as a unified group. The church has a mission to be the light of Christ in the world. The church is also a Mission. A place of prayer and safety. Healing and encouragement. Teaching and challenging. Equipping people to live a powerful, fruitful life in the Kingdom of God. I love this stuff. It is the source of strength and faith that moves Betty and I forward every day. We do not have small normal dreams and expectations. My dreams and
expectations change as current ones near fulfillment. I will never stop expecting, believing, praying, loving and encouraging. I will never stop challenging myself, and all of you to move beyond your perceived limitations
and believe in what seems impossible. It’s no fun for me to be normal. I crave controversy. “Controversy defined this way”

Page 2
The definition of controversy, from the Latin word controversia, which comes from the Latin word
controversus; is, “turned in an opposite direction.” Going with the flow isn’t my thing. Following Christ
is, and that has never been a popular movement, particularly in religious circles. This definition of the word controversy is akin to the Greek definition of repent. met-an-o-eh’-o, which
means “To turn from and turn towards with the implication to change the way you think.”
I have been absorbed this week with a phrase that came to me last week. “Horizontal movement.” For the purpose of the phrase the word horizontal used as an adjective means, “applied uniformly or equally to all members of a group.” Movement is defined this way, “a group of people working together to advance their shared ideas.”
I pray you never get tired of hearing this but it all depends on us coming to accept and believe who we are
in Christ.

Page 3 I want to share some thoughts today titled, “The Unbroken Path”
I love Psalms 139. It is difficult to carve out relevant passages because the whole Psalm is awesome. Please
read it when you get a chance. I have 6 passages I want to share.
Psalms 139:13-18 NASB
13 For You formed my inward parts; You wove me in my mother’s womb.
14 I will give thanks to You, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made; Wonderful are Your works, And my
soul knows it very well.
15 My frame was not hidden from You, When I was made in secret, And skillfully wrought in the depths of
the earth;
16 Your eyes have seen my unformed substance; And in Your book were all written The days that were ordained
for me, When as yet there was not one of them.
17 How precious also are Your thoughts to me, O God! How vast is the sum of them!
18 If I should count them, they would outnumber the sand. When I awake, I am still with You.
Preach-His skillful, precise attention to our creation

Page 4
In verse 14 the word fearfully and wonderfully occur. Fearfully from the Hebrew means, “to cause
astonishment and awe, to inspire reverence or Godly fear.” The word wonderfully from the Hebrew means,
“to be distinct, be separated, to be distinguished.” You could read the verse this way. I will give thanks to
You, for I am created to cause astonishment and awe, to inspire Godly fear, and to be distinct, to be separated,
and be distinguished; Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well. We were created to Give Him Glory. I want to read 17 and 18 again from the Living Bible.
Psalms 139 17-18 TLB
17 How precious it is, Lord, to realize that you are thinking about me constantly!
18 I can’t even count how many times a day your thoughts turn toward me. And when I waken in the
morning, you are still thinking of me!
Preach the WOW of His eternal care. He did this for a reason. The reason is, He wants to live within us.

John 14:16-17 NASB
16 I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper, that He may be with you forever;
17 that is the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it does not see Him or know Him, but
you know Him because He abides with you and will be in you.
Christians often live their lives in a vertical way. Looking for God to come down and minister to them. Yes, God is in the heavenly realm. Jesus very plainly told us that His representative who was with the disciples, would soon be in them, and moving forward in us as well.
Romans 8:9-11 NASB
9 However, you are not in the flesh but in the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God dwells in you. But if anyone
does not have the Spirit of Christ, he does not belong to Him.
10 If Christ is in you, though the body is dead because of sin, yet the spirit is alive because of righteousness.
11 But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ Jesus from the
dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you. “Preach In You”Page 6
Romans 8:11 Message
It stands to reason, doesn’t it, that if the alive-and- present God who raised Jesus from the dead moves into
your life, he’ll do the same thing in you that he did in Jesus, bringing you alive to himself? When God lives
and breathes in you (and he does, as surely as he did in Jesus), you are delivered from that dead life. With his
Spirit living in you, your body will be as alive as Christ’s! It has been significant down through time for all
different religions to build temples. Places to worship and places where their respective god would live.
Solomon built a multi billion dollar temple for our Lord God to dwell. It has never been our destiny to only find
God in a building or in the heavens. From the beginning His Divine plan was to live in us. Paul said this in his sermon on Mars Hill.
Acts 17:26-28 Message
26 Starting from scratch, he made the entire human race and made the earth hospitable, with plenty of time and
space for living.

Page 7
27 so we could seek after God, and not just grope around in the dark but actually find him. He doesn’t play
hide-and-seek with us. He’s not remote; he’s near.
28 We live and move in him, can’t get away from him! One of your poets said it well: ‘We’re the God-created.’
Preach-He created us for a dwelling place. Let me finish with this.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20 Message
19-Or didn’t you realize that your body is a sacred place, the place of the Holy Spirit? Don’t you see that you can’t
live however you please, squandering what God paid such a high price for? The physical part of you is not some piece of property belonging to the spiritual part of you.
20 God owns the whole works. So let people see God in and through your body.
There is an eternal unbroken path to God. He keeps it open for everyone to find Him. It is much more than
freedom from sin. It is about Him living in us, and living through us. It is a horizontal movement. Preach- That is an important distinction. Preach responsibility
